Mr. Gregory Jackson
Principal's Message:
My name is Gregory C. Jackson, and I am deeply honored to have been named the new Principal of Coleman Middle School! This is a significant milestone in my career, and I am excited to embark on this journey with the wonderful Coleman staff, students, and families!
My path to Coleman Middle School began nearly 20 years ago in Gwinnett County Public Schools, shortly after graduating from Georgia State University. During my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching Social Studies at Meadowcreek High School, Lilburn Middle School, GIVE Center West, and Central Gwinnett High School. Each of these experiences deepened my passion for education and strengthened my dedication to student achievement.
In 2016, I began my leadership journey as Assistant Principal at Baldwin Elementary School during its inaugural year. After three fulfilling years, I moved to Corley Elementary, where I have been proud to serve for the past six years. These opportunities have shaped my understanding of school administration and reinforced the importance of fostering supportive, dynamic learning environments where all students can thrive academically and emotionally.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, traveling, and gardening. Additionally, I love discovering great places to eat, whether I am at home or traveling.
I believe that like our namesake, Rep. Brooks P. Coleman, Coleman Middle represents all that can be possible with a commitment to collaboration, service to others, and the importance of innovation in education. These values have earned Coleman Middle School numerous accolades, including being the oldest and a two-time certified STEAM Middle School in the state of Georgia, as well as a Georgia-designated Math Leader School, among other honors.
As your Principal, I am excited to build upon Coleman’s tradition of excellence. Together, with our dedicated staff, supportive families, and the Duluth community, we will continue to provide world-class STEAM education and enrich the learning experiences of every student.
I am thrilled about the opportunities ahead and am committed to making Coleman Middle School an even greater place for our students to learn and grow. Thank you for welcoming me into this incredible community—I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together!

School Hours
The building doors open at 8:50. Car riders and buses will unload at 8:50. Parents will not be allowed to escort students to classrooms; we will have plenty of teachers to help students find their classes.
The official school day begins at 9:15 and students are tardy after this time. We will dismiss at 4 PM.
PLEASE DO NOT USE BUS LANES FOR DROP OFF – CAR RIDERS ALWAYS USE THE BACK PARKING LOT!
